Details: Another Christmas Card & Sprinkles

I have made this card which covers three challenges Papertake Weekly where we were asked to make a Christmas card, Daring Cardmakers asked us to use sprinkles and I used glitter to cover the stars on the Christmas three (see photo 3) and for the Cute Card Thursday's Challenge the theme was "In the house". This was the most difficult as I did not have any images with this theme, however, I tried to be creative and created a window and curtains overlooking a Christmas tree and some presents. (Apologies for photos - tried my best, lol!)

I have learnt that details are an integral part of cardmaking. The first photo shows a picture of the card without any details and the second shows how a some ribbon and extra embellishment can put the card up a notch.

Materials:

Be Mine, Blush by Basic Gray
Birthday Gifts, Anita's Outline stickers
Green and red card stock
Red Glitter
Gold ric rac
Fibra markers
Anita's clear Christmas stamp

Tools:

Paper Trimmer

How to:

  1. Cut a square red card blank (15 by 15). Then cut an aperture 1 inch away from the edges. Stick acetate behind it.
  2. Draw curtain shapes from the patterned paper, cut and embellish with gold ric rac. Attach behind the acetate.
  3. Stamp the Christmas tree on green card stock and use red glitter glue to cover the stars.
  4. Stick peel off sticker on white card stock and colour in. Cut around it, trimming extra card stock where necessary. Stick both tree and gifts on the inside of the card so as to be visible behind the acetate.
