Tutorial:- Rocket Up High

A good day overall although I was a bit tired after spending all evening finishing this card. I was a bit stuck on what to do. Male cards are not my forte and I wanted this card to rock being for my little nephew. Well, not so little any more as he's growing into a young little man. A few posts back I tried my first shaker card and I just loved it. I decided to try it again here I explained some of the main steps below for those who are still a bit wary of shaker cards as I was a while back. I assure its easy - give it a try.

Materials:

Birthday Collection by Papermania from Docrafts
Fired Brick and Peeled Paint distress ink by Tim Holtz
Robots by Recollections
Nestabilities Circles
Black eyelets by Making Memories
Black Raffia by Papermania
Transparency
Glittered blue and white cardstock from local stationary

Tools:

Die cutting machine
Star Punch
Crocodile eyelet setter

How to:
  1. Cut two panels - one from glittered cardstock and the other from patterned paper.
  2. Cut a circle from the blue cardstock and put it aside (see picture below).
  3. Assemble the panels as shown above and set the brads.
  4. Take the blue circle and cut a smaller one using the nesties.
  5. Cut another circle from white cardstock and stamp the image on it. Cover the outer edge of the circle with foam pads. Cut another circle from a transparancy.
  6. Stamp the robot and the rocket twice . Colour in with distress inks, cut accents and decoupage both images.
  7. Colour some extra white cardstock with the distress inks and punch out stars.
  8. Assemble the circle placing the stars between the white cardstock and the transparency. Assemble the rocket and add some raffia to the rocket with double sided tape.
