Ismaki #31

For today I have decided to make a funky christmas card. I followed the sketch provided on the Ismaki blog and chose to use traditional green and pink. The result is the above. I like the way it turned out, however the colouring could have been a bit better as you can see the watermark in it. I have watched Katerina's tutorial and will try out her tips.

Materials:

Core' dinations - Love Potion by Papermania
Colossal Paper Pack - Traditional Christmas by Papermania
Anita's clear stamps - Christmas Cute and Cuddly by Papermania
Cuttle bug embossing folder - Winter Jelly
See D's Springtime Swirls
Fibra colour markers

Tools

Nail File
Sizzix die cutting Machine
Circle by Sizzix

  1. Cut a square patterned paper, slightly smaller than the card blank. Stamp the image on a die cut circle and colour in. Cut a scalloped circle from Love Potions core' dinations and file the edges.
  2. Cut a rectangular piece of Love Potion core'dinations, file the edges ( you can also use scissors). Cut a thin rectangle out of the green patterned paper and attach as shown.
  3. Using the Love Potions emboss the snowflake and sand the image.
  4. Attach everything using foam pads for added dimension.
P.S Thanks for all the comments you are leaving - its great reading them.

Your cards are wonderful! I'm so glad you visited my site, for now I know of yours!! I, also, am a teacher, now retired. I have often thought of the great times I could have had with my studens if I had been doing cards, books, etc. back then!I shall return for more visits, as your cards are truly lovely.

Great card! I adore the 'love potion' card stock. I didn't notice it last time I bought a pile of Core'dinations; this is a great opportunity for a new visit a my local craft store!
