Father's Day 2010

I've been quite busy lately. An aunt who lives in California has come to visit us this month so at the weekends we had a lot of catching up to do - one family reunion after the other. Today we had a farewell BBQ on a beach. I love summers here - swimming in the morning, bbq in the evening and dancing on a Saturday night. So tell me, how can a girl like me give up all this fun now that the sun is darting all those lovely rays our way? Here I am now, like a young school girl who has forgotten to do her homework, hidden in my little paper haven at 1.39 am writing this post. I have made this father's day card, which works well for a masculine birthday as well, I must say, don't you think?

Materials:

Stars stamp from Hobbycrafts
Bkue and Orange (Teal? not sure)
Cartoons clear rubber stamps by Recollections
For Him papers by Papermania
White opaque embossing powder by Zig
Alphabet peel off sheet and black permanent marker

Tools:

Big Shot Machine
Trixie Girl Alphabeth by Sizzix
Nestabilities - Circles
Heat Gun
Sewing Machine

Tip: If your permanent marker dries out, you can always use acrylic paint to colour your peel offs. Here, I actually used acrylic myself as guess what? My marker ran dry. Try it. Trust me it works and you can paint them any colour you want. Go on, give those peel offs that extra va va va voom.
