Friday Sketchers 45 - Baby Boy

This is my second post today, so do make sure to have a look at the male card I made for my brother-in-law. I made the above card for a colleague who has had a baby boy recently. I used the sketch on Friday Sketcher's but tweaked it a bit.
Materials:
Venetian Skies - Papermania
Dark Blue and Skin coloured Cardstock
Baby STamps - Doodlbug Designs
X-Cut Flower Punch
White gel pen
Edging scissors
Tools:
Sizzix Twang Alphabeth
Die cutting machine
How to:
  1. Trim a piece of patterned paper to cover the card blank, leaving a 0.5cm of white showing.
  2. Cut a narrow panel of dark blue cardstock and a slightly bigger one from patterned paper. Punch the latter using the punch upside down in order to see where you are punching. Stick card stock to punched panel.
  3. Trim two rectangular panels from cardstock and a smaller one from patterned paper. Stamp the face on 'skin' cardstock and cut out. Cut a circle from white cardstock and stamp the faux stitching. Cut another circle from darker cardstock using edging scissors. Doodle the edges with white gel pen. Assemble using foam pads
  4. Die cut the letters from the blue cardsctock.
  5. Put everything together as shown.

Don't forget to check out my blog candy ending 3rd April.
