Christmas Card #1

This is not usual for me but I have made a very early Christmas card this week. I was inspired by Katerina's sketch on Papertake Weekly. I have had these papers for some time and I think its the time to use them. Well, as you can see the above is the result. I am not sure if it feels too busy or not. What do you think?

Materials:

White Cardstock
Papermania Christmas Papers - Traditional '07
Papermania Christmas Ribbons - Traditional '07
Anita's Christmas Christmas Cute and Cuddly Clear Stamps
Whispers Strokes Markers
Heat it Up! Black Holographic Embossing Powder
Heat it Up! Gold Embossing Powder
Snow Powder by EberhardFaber
Zig 2 Way Glue

Tools

Cuttlebug
Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder
Heat Gun
Edging Scissors

How To:

  1. Cut a green paper from the Traditional Christmas pack as big as the card (or leave a little border if you wish). Cut a scalloped semi circle from red paper.
  2. Stamp and colour the image twice. Heat emboss the stars. Use the Zig 2 Way Glue to cover the white furry section of the coat and spread Snow powder on top. Heat emboss the sentiments and cut them as shown.
  3. Cut a small rectangle slightly bigger than the image and dry emboss it using the Cuttlebug machine. Ink the edges and the snowflakes.
  4. Assemble everything as shown adding a green ribbon to embellish the card.
